F.A.N.N. Day : Feb. 10th!

E-mail Print

[The Flight Attendant Negotiations Network] PRESENTS:

F.A.N.N. DAY in the DEN DOMICILE

WEDNESDAY, February 10th 0900-1300

This is YOUR opportunity to sign up to receive weekly updates on our Contract Negotiations and important issues surrounding our efforts to achieve the contract we deserve.

If you have not done so already, representatives will be in the Domicile Lunch Room area from 0900-1300 this Wednesday. It will take approximately FIVE MINUTES to sign up... a small investment in your future as we move forward with mobilizing our work group.

You read what happened on January 7th... almost 2,000 of you and your fellow UAL Flight Attendants picketed and leafleted around the entire United worldwide system in a showing of solidarity and unity of purpose.

 We WANT a Contract NOW!

DEN leafletting

It will be by growing AND SHOWING our unity and solidarity that United Airlines MISmanagement will ultimately recognize it just won't make sense to drag out the negotiations longer than necessary. Actually, it ALREADY IS longer than necessary considering we have been in negotiations for TEN MONTHS !!!

As I mentioned in prior communications, if we had 100 show up in Denver when it was -15 degrees windchill... does United Management REALLY believe there won't be MORE showing up for future events and actions as the time lengthens and weather improves? Would this be yet ANOTHER MISmanagement MIScalculation?

Signing up to be a member of the F.A.N.N. (Flight Attendant Negotiations Network) will go a long way to show UAL MISmanagement that any more delay would be a huge MIStake as we then just continue to grow more impatient and angry.

An INFORMED work group is an EFFECTIVE force with whom to reckon. That is the purpose of the F.A.N.N.!!! WEDNESDAY, February 10th: Look for us in the Lunch Room with the "Whatever It Takes" t-shirts and the FANN sign-up information!!! We look forward to seeing you then!!!

WHatever it takes

Happy Labor Day!

Today was the day to celebrate the contributions that Labor (you/we/US) have made to this great Country. They don't name it "CEO Day", or "Management Day" ...it is called "LABOR DAY" for a reason! Do not minimize the work you do on a daily basis to put food on the table for your family, and to provide a valid service to a transportation industry which is critical to our nation. We seek only to have the ability to participate in a life-style that our work should allow for... nothing less! Remember what those have fought for who have come before us... and do not be too willing to give anything up easily or for nothing in return. To do so would be to dishonor the efforts of all who have fought to improve our work lives and quality of work life. Happy Labor Day!
